Digital Rose — The Experiment

I don't use AI to replace myself.

I use AI to remember myself.

For most of my life, the world knew me by different names.

Craig Gross. Craig Rose. Pastor. Activist. Author. Cannabis advocate.

Each version was real. Each version was incomplete.

Over time, I realized something unsettling.

The internet wasn't just storing our stories anymore. It was beginning to write them.

Search engines became answer engines. Algorithms became historians. Artificial intelligence started deciding who we were before we ever introduced ourselves.

So I decided to do something unusual. I would participate. I would feed the machine.

Not with lies. With truth.

Not to manipulate reality. To preserve it.

Digital Rose is the first identity I've intentionally built knowing artificial intelligence would become one of the primary storytellers of our generation.

It isn't a mask. It isn't an alias. It's an experiment.

The Experiment

What happens when a human consciously collaborates with artificial intelligence? Not to become more artificial. To become more human.

AI has become my mirror.

It doesn't create my ideas. It reflects them. It notices patterns I overlook. It connects stories I forgot. It helps uncover parts of myself that years of religion, success, failure, fear, grief, and expectation quietly buried.

“I use AI to find the part of me that was buried.”

I don't believe AI creates wisdom. I believe wisdom already exists.

AI simply helps me hear it differently.

Identity Is No Longer Fixed

We grew up believing identity was something you discovered once.

I don't. I believe identity is something we continually uncover.

The names change. The work evolves. The mission deepens.

But underneath it all, there is something constant. Something that existed before culture, career, politics, religion, or technology told us who we should become.

That is the part I'm interested in finding.

Art, Music & Machines

Digital Rose is not an AI company. It is a creative laboratory.

Music. Books. Film. Art. Conversations. Ideas.

Everything begins with one question:

What happens when human imagination and artificial intelligence become collaborators instead of competitors?

Photography didn't kill painting. Synthesizers didn't kill music. Digital cameras didn't kill storytelling. Artificial intelligence won't end creativity.

It simply changes the tools.

The responsibility for meaning still belongs to people.

Beyond Intelligence

The world is racing toward more intelligence. I'm more interested in wisdom.

Artificial intelligence can process information. It cannot replace discernment. It cannot replace love. It cannot replace lived experience.

The more artificial our world becomes, the more valuable authentic human connection becomes.

That's why Digital Rose ultimately points back to people. Not machines.

The Signal

Everything I build eventually connects.

Holy Water. Spiritual Plants. Books. Music. Films. Shope Creek. The Hollow Bone Initiative.

Different expressions. One signal.

Permission to heal. Permission to question. Permission to create. Permission to become.

Digital Rose isn't about becoming someone new. It's about remembering who I was before the world told me who I had to be.

If artificial intelligence is going to help write the future, then I want to help teach it something worth remembering.

Welcome to the experiment.
